The Residences at Rivers Edge

DESCRIPTION

Right outside of Boston along the Malden River, lies River’s Edge, a young, energetic community. The story of River’s Edge is one of environmental conservation and commitment to the community. Our story of conservation began with a 10-acre restoration of abandoned river-front property. Prior to the restoration, the river view was obscured by overgrown, invasive vegetation and an accumulation of river debris. After a massive ecological cleanup, the award-winning Park at River’s Edge is now home to local wildlife, Tufts Boat House, and a wide variety of community events.

Residents of River’s Edge share in the benefits of a revitalized Malden River. As a 2008 Honor Design Award winner, the park was praised by the Boston Society of Landscape Architects as “a place with endless potential.”

The October 2014 issue of Landscape Architect & Specifier News includes an article entitled “Transformational Remediation – the Park at River’s Edge,” which covers the decades-long remediation process of the park, as well as its success in reconnecting the public to the park, the river and the wildlife.
